Purpose

The Acoustics Technical Working Group meetings are held to foster communication and collaboration between NASA researchers and their university, industry, and government partners on activities and work of current and future mutual interest.

October 20-21, 2015

We are anticipating two full days.

As in the past, TWG topics are related to sub- and supersonic transports, rotary wing vehicles, and fundamental aeronautical science, which fall under NASA Advanced Air Vehicles, Integrated Aviation Systems, and Transformative Aeronautics Concept Programs.  You can view a recent overview of the NASA Aeronautics Programs (pdf).

Catered Lunches

On both days there will be an optional on-site catered lunch in the OAI Sun Room. The estimated cost of these lunches is roughly $18 for Oct 20 (hot lunch), and roughly $12 for Oct 21 (sandwich box lunch), subject to the final head count. To facilitate planning, the registration page will capture an intent to attend lunch and your sandwich choice on day 2. Paying for the optional lunches will be part of the first morning check-in process.

No-Host Dinner Oct 20

There will be a no-host dinner on October 20 at the Great Lakes Brewing Company (2516 Market Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113) in the “beer cellar” at 7:00pm. In the Google map you can see the parking lots just West of the restaurant, and to the East on the other side of the West Side Market.  A restaurant attendance count will also be taken with check-in on the first morning.

Deadline for registration is Friday October 9 for foreign visitors, to give us time for the badging process, and Friday October 16 for US persons.

Presentations will be available after the event to all registered attendees, or by request to the organizer.
